S.F. Express (Group) Co., Ltd., a fast-expanding express delivery service provider in China, has registered eight convenience stores in Dongguan, a city in Guangdong province, to branch into the non-express delivery service.
The stores, all of which will be run by S.F. Express, will provide a variety of products for daily use, apart from services like magazine and newspaper subscription. The company has opened more than 20 convenience stores in Shenzhen since the first S.F. Express convenience store made a debut in Futian district last July. S.F. Express has put such stores in Hong Kong, Guangzhou, Zhuhai, and Dongguan into operation.
S.F. Express could ship commodities while providing express delivery services, a move that market observers say will cut costs on logistics and sales effectively. The company, though strong in logistics and storage, still needs professional sales representatives and accurate market analysis to survive in the fierce competition in the retail market, pointed out market observers.
