Two additional forest parks in Dongguan have recently finished construction and been opened to the public free of charge. These are the Shan Shui Tian Di Forest Park in Qingxi town, featuring over 2,000 old mango trees, and the Nanmen Shan Forest Park in Fenggang town, featuring Hakka countryside scenery.

As of today, there are a total of eight forest parks in Dongguan. The other six are: Qifeng Forest Park, Forest Park of Yinping Mountain, Great Barrier Forest Park, Dalingshan Forest Park, Tongsha Forest Park, and Forest Park of Shuilian Mountain.

Next year will see this total rise to ten, with construction of another two forest parks already planned for 2012. These will be the Bihu Forest Park in Fenggang town, and Huangniupu Forest Park in Huangjiang town.
