The effect drawing of the Famous Furniture Expo Park

The blueprints for the International Furnishing Centre (IFC) in Houjie Township, part of the Famous Furniture Expo Park project, outline a 102 storey, 480-metre high building. This will make it the tallest in Dongguan, second in Guangdong Province, fourth in China, and the tallest furniture headquarters building in the world.

According to a press conference held last Thursday (22nd December), the IFC is scheduled for use as of March 2013 when it will become a new landmark for global furniture.

The tower with a total planning area of 0.3 million square metres will be located in the middle of Guangdong Modern International Exhibition Centre opposite the 230 metre high Regal Palace Hotel.

The functions of the tower will span research and development, design, testing, overseas purchase and include a business centre with a planned 6-Star hotel. There will also be a helipad on top of the tower.
