Hotels and restaurants in Dongguan city, South China's Guangdong Province have seen a short supply of family reunion dinners for the upcoming Spring Festival of the Year of the Dragon which falls on 23rd January in 2012.

The Chinese Lunar New Year's Eve dinner, also known as the family reunion dinner, marks a family gathering on the Lunar New Year's Eve, which is traditionally considered as the most important part of the celebration.

In spite of unfixed menu, many restaurants in Dongguan have seen hot reservations for family reunion dinners ahead of the Spring Festival. At present, the final prices of the reunion dinners are still not fixed, however, the prices are expected to see an increase of at least 10% compared with last year due to the inflation and rising labour costs, according to insiders.
