Hong Kong-funded enterprises in Dongguan will transform and upgrade at a faster speed and lower cost in the future. On July 31, Dongguan Bureau of Foreign Trade & Economic Cooperation and Hong Kong Productivity Council (HKPC) signed a cooperation framework agreement on impelling the transformation and upgrading of Hong Kong enterprises in Dongguan. According to the agreement, Hong Kong enterprises are encouraged to join in the HKPC’s 'one-stop service program’ for the transformation, upgrading and relocation of enterprises. Enterprises may also be sponsored by the local government.
On July 31, Dongguan Bureau of Foreign Trade & Economic Cooperation and Hong Kong Productivity Council (HKPC) signed a cooperation framework agreement on impelling the transformation and upgrading of Hong Kong enterprises in Dongguan.
The two parties have confirmed five aspects of cooperation and ten specific measures through the agreement. The five aspects of cooperation include holding promotion conferences for the transformation and upgrading of processing trade enterprises, providing basic assessment service for enterprises in their transformation and upgrading and funding support for enterprises in coaching.
All these add together to offer a coaching platform on transformation and upgrading and thereby support Hong Kong enterprises in Dongguan in developing new products, improving their production automatism level, promote clean production and energy saving as well as consumption reduction so as to improve the competitiveness and counter-risk capability of upgraded enterprises.
25 promotion conferences on electronics, electrical machinery, toys, textile and clothing, chemistry, furniture, food and footwear will be held in Dongguan and Hong Kong, 15 in Dongguan and 10 in Hong Kong. The charges for the promotion conferences in Dongguan will be included in the Dongguan’s Funding Program for Transformation and Upgrade of Processing Trade Enterprises (hereinafter referred to as ‘The Funding Program’).
The Funding Program will also assume 80% of the fees, 40,000 yuan for the basic level of counseling and up to 50% of the fees, a further 50, 000 yuan for further counseling enterprises on transformation and upgrading. The HKPC will provide coaching services for enterprises on transformation and upgrading. Accordingly, the Funding Program will offer 50% of the coaching fees up to 300, 000 yuan for each enterprise.
