More eco-cooperation with Japan and South Korea expected

From May 24th to June 2nd, 2010, Jiang Ling the Vice Mayor of Dongguan led a delegation comprised of 16 members from the city's foreign trade, customs, finance, taxation, human resources and foreign affairs to promote economic trade in Japan and South Korea. An investment intention worth in excess of US$155 million has been indicated.

Advanced electronics manufacturing and emerging industries projects in Japan and South Korea will be primary targets for Dongguan's business invitation in the future. The electronics industry is not only a pillar industry in Dongguan but also it is a brand industry. In 2009, the export revenue of electronics industry in Dongguan exceeded US$35 billion, nearly 70% of the total export revenue.

The delegation also visited headquarters of Dongguan enterprises funded by Japan and South Korea. Several enterprises showed their intention to increase investment in Dongguan or relocate their factories to Dongguan.
